Avanti Competitor 1
The Competitor is Avanti's top hardtail, built around a superlight butted 6061 alloy frame with trail geometry and full internal cable routing. The Competitor 1 pairs that frame with a 100mm X-Fusion MIG air fork with lockout, a Microshift Advent X 1x10 drivetrain with an 11-48T cassette, and Tektro hydraulic disc brakes, all rolling on 29" wheels.
At Mackay Cycles, we see the Competitor 1 as the step up for riders getting serious about trail riding: an air fork that can be set for your weight, a clutch derailleur that keeps the chain quiet on rough ground, and a simple 1-by drivetrain with a big low gear for steep climbs.
