The Maxxis Dissector G2 returns with meaningful updates that sharpen its performance across a wide range of modern trail and all-mountain bikes. Designed for speed, control, and predictability, this latest generation improves cornering confidence, braking traction, and durability—especially on hard and dry terrain.

The most noticeable upgrade is the redesigned side knobs, now featuring a larger footprint and reworked siping. This delivers faster engagement, increased stability, and a more planted feel when pushing through corners on hardpack, rock, or roots. The updated knob shape also resists deflection under load, improving both control and long-term wear.

Through the centre, the familiar 2-3-2 tread layout remains, but the central “3” has been split into individual knobs. This enhances braking traction and allows the tyre to conform better to uneven surfaces. Transition knobs have been pushed outward to create a smoother, more consistent feel as the bike is leaned over.

Paired with 3C MaxxTerra rubber and EXO sidewall protection, the Dissector G2 strikes an excellent balance between grip, rolling efficiency, and trail-ready toughness. It’s a versatile choice for short- to mid-travel trail bikes and a fast-rolling rear option on longer-travel setups.
